Kirstin Rigby

Artist Bio

The arts have always felt like home. As a child I wanted to be a dancer.  I loved writing plays, and improv acting. I was also always drawing, crafting and creating art after school. In 5th grade I decided that I would become an art teacher.

I began teaching art in 2005, and quickly realized that I wanted to pursue a masters degree.  I graduated in 2014 with an MA in studio with a concentration in painting.

I have illustrated two children's books, and continue to paint private commissions for clients.  I enjoy painting murals, public speaking, and helping children.

My banner picture (top of site) is from a YouTube documentary called "Losing a Best Friend." One of the books that I illustrated was with a good friend who passed away named Sean Dolan.

My goal is to one day give a Ted Talk.
